Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about the Eleven VR Tour.
How do rankings work?
Rankings use a 52-week rolling window. When you finish a tournament you earn ranking points for that finish (winner, finalist, semi-finalist, etc.). Points expire 52 weeks after the tournament's end date. The world ranking is the live sum of every player's unexpired points.
What is the Race to the Finals?
The Race ranks players by points earned in the current calendar year only. The top eight at the end of the season qualify for the Tour Finals — the season-ending round-robin event in November. Your race position can differ from your world ranking when you have older points from outside this calendar year.
How are seeds decided?
Seeds default to live ranking points: the highest-pointed entrants are seeded #1, #2, etc. A tournament organiser may manually override seedings before the draw is generated. Seeded players are placed at standard anchor positions so top seeds can only meet in the late rounds.
Can a tournament have fewer than the listed draw size?
Yes. Empty draw slots become byes — the player they would face advances to the next round automatically. This keeps the bracket structure valid even if sign-ups don't fill.
What happens if a player can't finish a match?
Two outcomes are supported. A walkover means the opponent didn't show up and no games were played; the score reads "W/O". A retirement means a player started but couldn't finish; the partial score is recorded with the suffix "ret." (for example, 6-3, 4-1 ret.).
How does match reporting work?
Either player submits the score. The opponent then has to confirm or dispute. Disputes are reviewed by an admin, who can decide the result. Confirmed results immediately update the bracket and award ranking points for any tournament finishes.
What is a Title Defense?
If a player has previously won a tournament and is signed up for the next edition, that event is flagged as a title defense on their profile. Defending champions don't get any in-game advantage — but they do get bragging rights.
How is my data protected?
Your email is encrypted at rest. Passwords are salted and hashed with PHP's
password_hash. Forms use CSRF tokens. The login endpoint locks an IP after
six failed attempts within 15 minutes. We never sell your data.
